And just like that, March is gone.

Seriously, where is this year going?

March was a big month for me because it wasn't as busy! I'm in the process of relaxing, finding new routines, and coming up with ideas but I haven't frantically been trying to meet deadlines or events like usual.

It's been a month of hanging out with friends, dog sitting, and figuring out a schedule for myself. So how did I do with goals?

March Goals

Personal

  • Sell/toss anything broken or that I’m not using- I did manage to clear out and throw away a LOT. We had our garage sale, donated clothes, and got rid of what we could. I'm still working on this but I made progress so it's getting crossed off

  • Get back to meal prepping/eating healthy- We may not be meal prepping consistently, but we are cooking more and eating healthier! It's been a month of cauliflower based foods!

  • Go to bed by 11:30- I really need to work on this. It's been hard because there's so much I want to do, but it'll be good for me.

  • Clean the front and backyard/Fix the fenceWe fixed the fence a bit, but the front still needs cleaning and I need to spend an afternoon just completely fortifying the back fence

  • Drink more water- Doing it! I got myself a cup and have been drinking more and more and peeing more and more lol

  • Make a timeline for Seattle- Check and check.

Work

  • Freehand sketch practice 2 times a week- Kinda. I'm counting it only because I have been practice sketching but it's different than how I intended.

  • Work on 1 painting, 1 watercolor- I've been watercoloring constantly! And I started the sketch and prepped for my Museum piece so I'm counting it.

  • Finish commissions- I did complete this then I got new commissions. I'm counting it though lol

  • Write 2 chapters- Noooooope. I did a lot of story plotting but I just never forced myself to do it. I will tho!

  • Update Resume/Portfolio/Website- Halfmark for this because uh hello, you're reading this on the new website. But I'm working on the resume still.

Optional

  • Work on Her v. Him Zine

  • Work on Apothecary Zine- Started art!

  • Read a book

  • Get back into taking pictures- Check!

7.5/11 (plus two bonus goals!)

That's pretty good! And overall, I did the important ones so I'm gonna pat myself on the back.

In April I do have some events planned (my last Ladies Night is this month), but I don't expect craziness. So let's make some goals!

April Goals

Personal

  • Clear out my office

  • Get the kittens adopted

  • Start making room in the house for BFF move in

  • Clean up the yards

  • Start walking the pups

Work

  • Update Resume/Business Cards

  • At least 2 comics/2 blogs a week

  • Write 2 chapters

  • Launch Enamel Pin Kickstarter!

  • Prepare for Mermay

Optional

  • Complete 4% diet bet goal!

  • Read a book

  • Stick with weekly coffee art days

I always say the goals are doable but really it's just a matter of putting more effort into them. A lot of times my goals are ones that I'll do in passing, but don't strive to get done. These I'm going to have to put in the effort and that's a good thing. Passable doesn't better yourself.

I'm working on making a Kickstarter to make some enamel pins! Once I get all the assets together for that and figure out the costs, I'll make a post announcing it!

And if you didn't know, for the month of May I will be doing the Mermay Challenge! It's like Inktober, but you draw a mermaid themed art piece a day! I made a prompt list which you can find on my Instagram!

What are some of your goals for the month? Let me know!

I liked up with Nicole at Feel Good, Dress Better so be sure to check out her monthly goals as well as everyone else in the linkup!

(Also, yay my domain finally transferred!)
