I’ve been trying to think of what I want to accomplish this year and finally managed to narrow it down to a good mix of personal improvements and experiences. Some of these don’t come across as necessarily huge goals but considering I’ve spent most of the past two years asleep on my couch, anything is an improvement.
So here is the full bucketlist I want to try and achieve before I turn 30
1. Start Exercising Regularly
2. Travel Alone Somewhere
3. Go to a Drive-In Movie
4. Go Camping
5. Ghost Hunt
6. Go to a Festival
7. Edit My Book
8. Learn Something New
9. Make Homemade Ice Cream
10. Drink only water for a month
11. Develop an early morning routine
12. Learn Spanish
13. Learn to make bread
14. Have a photoshoot
15. Declutter House/Yard/Storage Unit
16. Get a manicure
17. Learn to drive stick shift
18. Make another enamel pin
19. 1 video each month
20. Save $1000
21. Stop picking my skin
22. Train the dogs
23. Eat better
24. Pay off a credit card
Perfectly honest: I don’t exercise. At all. I walked through Target the day before my birthday and tweaked my back just from turning too fast. My diet is that of a teenager and most of my favorite activities and work require me just to sit. So exercising, eating better, getting up early instead of 10 minutes before work, drinking water (I drink none) are all part of the way I need to get better.
Including picking my skin. It’s a thing I’ve done as an anxiety tick since I was a kid and I’m covered in scars. It’s embarrassing when they’re in obvious spots like my chest and face. I want to get better or stop it all together this year.
I’m Hispanic and don’t know a lick of Spanish so that’s obvious and I’ve never had a manicure/pedicure/waxing or anything because I’m weirded out by people touching me and I have awful nails. Things like camping/trips/drive-in/ghost hunting are mostly experiences I’d like to try on my own. I’ve been camping and been to the drive-in but I think going alone is part of me being okay with being alone. Though I may do the ghost hunting with someone cause I’m a chicken.
I like scary stuff but do not like to be scared, if that makes sense.
I like ice cream and bread so that’s obvious. And a lot of the other stuff is mostly quality of life although the $1000 is gonna be hard because I’m barely inching by paycheck to paycheck. But I want to feel secure financially, in case of emergencies. Since there were so many last year.
So yeah, like I said, nothing huge but a few things I’d like under my belt going into my 30’s. Some of these things I’ll be filming and putting on YouTube, some I may just blog about. But I’m excited and hope this will keep me determined to get my shit together.
God knows I need to.
